NZ Lawyers (nzlawyers.nz) is built and published by Backroom Ops, a Hamilton business that builds search and AI-visibility tools for New Zealand small businesses. It lists every law firm we could find with an office in New Zealand, and orders them by the same published criteria, using one source: each firm's own website.

How firms are found

We find firms through business directories and search, then read each firm's own website. Only what the firm publishes is shown. After a firm is scored we may check individual practitioners, one at a time, on their professional body's public register; we never copy a register.

Add, correct or update a listing

Any law firm can add or update its listing for free. We list it straight away and check the details against the firm's own website before it is scored, so every firm is scored the same way. Listings are free and stay free.
